The PCEFT Community is partnering with Karen Hixson and Unique Page, a cross-cultural team of facilitators to support our community in navigating issues of racism, culture, and identity. Events on the global, national, and state-level related to the uprising against the murder of Black people by the police and the increase in white nationalism over the last 4 years make it impossible to ignore or avoid the responsibility we have as members of the counseling community to engage deeply with these issues. Our aim is to help the PCEFT community explore these issues together for the benefit of our shared humanity, to deepen our clinical awareness, and to repair harm that has occurred within the group. Our hope is that the Portland community of EFT therapists can continue to build a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic culture as members of the international EFT community.
